In the beginning of the week the journey started from Munich to Zurich, where we met Ruben (again). This time the weather was rainy, so I made everything to get people to understand that I did not want to spend time out of the bed. I behaved like a monster.
In Milan it was wet as well, but warmer than in Zurich. This time Cami understood my needs and we stayed in the bed until noon when Mika arrived and we traveled to Lake Garda. There we had a break with tasty pizza and sun shine, so I thought we would stay there. I was wrong: we continued the trip to the South-Tyrol vineyards, there we tasted plate of cold meat and cheese. My folks tasted some wine and bought some. We did not stay there neither so I continued the loud protest in the car!
Mika decided that it was time to climb up to the mountains, where a good quality wandering hotel waited for us. Mika's plan to get us to the top of the hill and let us run free did not work: dogs not allowed to run free signs everywhere and the lift to the top was closed! The Italians thought we would disturb the life of game animals. They are absolutely wrong: basenjis are the best running trainers for deer!
The next day my loud prays in the car were listened and we stopped in my favorite dog sport hotel in Oberammergau. I was too tired after the four hours shouting in the car to train agility. Luckily Ciara was in better condition, so Cami had more rounds with her than me. Then we had a family sauna where I would have liked to spend the rest of the evening.
Today we made a track racing training in Mammendorf on homeward bound. I showed that I'm not so old veteran runner as my folks think: I ran about 46 seconds the 480 meters track - only 4 seconds slower than Ciara. My condition has increased each week after the paw accident. Soon (actually in the beginning of June) I'm ready to enter the Finnish Track Racing competition in veteran series. Look out there this Veteran Lady!
